Recently merged with FDLRS, the Florida Inclusion Network (FIN) collaborates with all districts and schools to provide customized services and supports ensuring all students with disabilities have the same educational, social, and future opportunities as their peers.

In partnership with districts, FIN facilitates the implementation of inclusive best practices through:

  • Data-driven, student-focused planning and problem-solving across districts and schools.
  • Data-driven professional development and technical assistance to increase the knowledge and skills of district and school personnel.
  • Coaching and resources for district and school personnel to sustain inclusive best practices.
  • Sharing information to build collaborative relationships between families, schools, and districts.

FIN creates a variety of products to aid families and education professionals in meeting their goals. Our most recent offering is the District Best Practices for Inclusive Education (BPIE). The BPIE is a district-level self-assessment tool and process to identify and prioritize areas of need for inclusive practices that enable all students with disabilities to achieve their highest potential. The BPIE is based on work by experts in the field, best practice literature, and peer-reviewed research. When implemented with fidelity, the BPIE leads to the development of district improvement goals that increase effective inclusive practices in all schools.

The Florida Inclusion Network provides support for the implementation of BPIE and related improvement goals in all Florida school districts. For more information about the BPIE, access the District BPIE Forms and FAQs on the FIN Website.

When you schedule the BPIE, we will provide you with a fillable electronic document that you can disseminate to be filled out.
