Dr. Tillman Goes to Washington

Barbara Johns, Dr. Poinsetta Tillman, and US Senator Cory Booker

This past July, FDLRS Sunrise's Senior Manager, Dr. Poinsetta Tillman, visited Washington D.C. as a part of the 2018 Special Education Legislative Summit. This visit was in accordance with Dr. Tillman's role as the President of the Florida Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE), a chapter of the National CASE organization.

Pictured here with Dr. Tillman are Barbara Johns, Exceptional Education & Student Services Director for Bradford County and the Legislation & By-Laws Chair for Florida CASE, as well as US Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), who authored the proposed Supporting the Teaching Profession through Revitalizing Investments in Valuable Educators Act or the STRIVE Act.
